AmaZulu 'concerned' by poor results

AmaZulu management is set to meet with coach Cavin Johnson before the end of the week to discuss the club’s poor recent performances.

Usuthu were beaten 2-1 by Maritzburg United on Friday night despite taking the lead at Harry Gwala Stadium, after conceding two goals in the final 15 minutes.

It was the second successive loss for AmaZulu after they were beaten 4-1 by Orlando Pirates in the league match before.

Despite this poor run of form, an informant reveals Usuthu management has no desire to fire Johnson at this moment.

“There is cause for concern though. In football anything is possible. You never know what might happen tomorrow,” the source tell KickOff.com.

“However at this stage the club has not discussed anything related to firing the coach,” he added.

AmaZulu are currently lying in position 11 on the log and are six points ahead of bottom-placed Maritzburg United.
