FC Barcelona may have overturned their round of 16 first-leg Copa del Rey defeat against Levante on Thursday evening but could still find themselves disqualified from the competition.
Barca overturned their narrow first-leg defeat against Levanted with a routine 4-0 win at the Camp Nou but according to El Mundo, the LaLiga giants could face an embarrassing expulsion.

The Spanish publication claims Barcelona played with an ineligible player against Levante in their first leg encounter against their top-flight rivals.
Defender Juan Brandáriz, better known as Chumi, was in Valverde’s starting XI for Barça, however, he was at that point suspended from playing due to his disciplinary record with Barcelona B.
According to the disciplinary code in Spain, players cannot play for their first team if they are suspended with a lower team until the punishment has finished.
Real Madrid faced a similar punishment three season ago when they played Denis Cheryshev in the Spanish League Cup, who was ineligible to play due to his disciplinary record at his former club Villarreal – as suspensions carry over when players move clubs.
