Barca extend lead over Atletico

FC Barcelona restored their five-point lead over Atletico Madrid with a 2-0 win over Girona in LaLiga on Sunday evening.

In the 10th minute, Barca made the home side pay for poor defending when Nelson Semedo banged home his first of the season.

In the 51st minute, Stuani produced a another superb save out of Ter Stegen following a shot from close range.

The home side were reduced to ten men after Bernardo Espinosa received his second yellow card for an off-the-ball incident.

Ernesto Valverde made his first change when Arturo Vidal was removed for Brazilian midfielder Arthur Melo two minutes later.
