Former Platinum Stars and Mamelodi Sundowns defender Siyabonga Zulu is training with Bidvest Wits in a hope of landing himself a deal with the title contenders.
The 25-year-old’s name has been in the media for all the wrong reasons recently, having been accused of failing to pay for his child maintenance and disciplinary issues while still at Masandawana.
Sundowns terminated the player’s contract in January after he apparently failed to show up for a disciplinary hearing for ill-discipline in December.
Zulu had a tough time at Sundowns after joining them in January last year, hardly getting an opportunity to play. The signing of Lyle Lakay made life even more difficult for him.
“Oh yes Zulu, yeah he is with us at Wits. He’s been here for two weeks,” a source tells KickOff.com.
The Clever Boys head coach Gavin Hunt, as well as Ceo Jose Ferreira couldn’t be reached for comment.
