Kobola, who ended his playing days at Cape Town City last term, recently attended a SAFA D License coaching course.

And the 33-year-old says he plans to continue hitting the books.

“Yes, it’s true I attended the coaching course with SAFA recently to acquire the Licence D qualification,” Kobola says.

“I have played the game for a long time to gain experience but I also need qualifications to improve my knowledge in football.

“This is the beginning of many courses I want to take to improve my coaching qualifications,” concludes the former Moroka Swallows and Jomo Cosmos defender.

Chilli Boys head coach Eric Tinkler roped in Kobola to help him following his appointment at the Port Elizabeth-based outfit in August. They previously worked together at the Citizens.
