Late flurry of deadline day transfers

Senegal striker Mbaye Diagne who has emerged as a surprise competitor for the European Golden Shoe completed a lucrative R152 million deadline day switch along with several other high profile stars.

Diagne, 27, has netted a staggering 20 goals in 17 Super Lig appearances for Kasimpasa since his free transfer arrival upon leaving Chinese outfit TJ Teda in the off-season.

The towering striker’s goal was leading the unfancied Turkish side to an unlikely title charge, but after a dip in form over the new year, domestic rivals Galatasaray have snapped the three-time capped Senegal star up in a €10 million (R152m) deal.
