'PSG will win the Champions League'

Brazil superstar Neymar Jr is confident of returning back to full fitness in time to lift the UEFA Champions League title with Paris Saint-Germain this season.

Neymar, 27, is currently recovering from a metatarsal injury sustained last month and missed their first-leg clash with Manchester United in the round of 16.

The 2-0 win over the Premier League giants, without the £200m attacking talisman and club-record goalscorer Edinson Cavani has been viewed as a real signal of intent from the French side – which the Brazilian eludes to.

With the final taking place on 1 June at the Wanda Metropolitano in Madrid the former FC Barcelona man has issued a bold statement.

“PSG will be Champions League champion,” he said in an interview with Red Bull.

“PSG is not just about me – it has an awesome team with great athletes and a genius coach.

“Besides, the PSG fans are like a 12th player when we are playing in Paris. I have no doubts that we will be champions and that I will be playing.”
