PSL postpone Downs game for CAF

The Absa Premiership game between Black Leopards and Mamelodi Sundowns has been postponed.

The match was due to take place on November 28 in Thohoyandou, but the PSL has rescheduled the match for a yet to be confirmed date.

Sundowns begin their CAF Champions League journey with an away match against Leones Vegetarianos from Equatorial Guinea next Tuesday, just a day before they were scheduled to play Lidoda Duvha.

Sundowns, who will host the second leg on December 4 or 5, are expected to leave early to familiarise themselves with the conditions in Equatorial Guinea.

Head coach Pitso Mosimane has always stressed the importance of preparing thoroughly, and leaving early will give the 2016 champions an opportunity to get themselves ready for the opening clash.

“We are probably going to leave on Friday,” club spokesperson Thulani Thuswa said.

Sundowns, meanwhile, have not revealed their squad that will be participating in the Champions League.

“We will release the team soon. We are still finalising a few things,” Thuswa said.
