Polokwane City goalkeeper George Chigova believes the match against Kaizer Chiefs gives them a good opportunity to get back to winning ways.
Rise and Shine have now failed to get get maximum points in three consecutive league games. They played to a 3-3 draw with Bidvest Wits, then lost 3-1 to Maritzburg United, before coming from behind to draw 1-1 with Mamelodi Sundowns in their last game.
City are eighth on the Absa Premiership table, while Amakhosi are a spot above them.
“It’s gonna be a six pointer. If we collect maximum points we will go on top of them, so there is lots at stake,” Chigova tells KickOff.com.
“We played two draws and a defeat so tomorrow it’s a perfect game to bounce back to winning ways and it’s gonna boost our confidence going forward. For us we just need to collect three points and maintain our place in the top eight.”
Asked what he thought of his the form of his Zimbabwean compatriot Khama Billiat, who is in his first campaign with Amakhosi, Chigova said: “Last he came and he played a good game, and it’s always tricky playing against him because of his quality. So we have to guard against him.”
Rise and Shine host Amakhosi at Peter Mokaba Stadium this afternoon (15h30).
