Serie A: Roma up to sixth with thrilling win

AS Roma returned to winning ways in Serie A after defeating Genoa in a thrilling encounter on Sunday evening.

Roma moved up to sixth on the table with a 3-2 victory over Genoa at the Stadio Olimpico to end a five-game winless run in all competitions.

After a poor start through a goalkeeping howler which allowed Krzysztof Piatek to get the opener, Roma bounced back.

Federico Fazio levelled until Oscar Hiljemark regained the lead for the visitors before 35 minutes.

Justin Kluivert netted Roma’s third on the stroke of halftime and Bryan Cristante made the game safe for the hosts with his third goal of the game in the 59th minute.
