Solskjaer wins first home game

Manchester United gave Ole Gunnar Solskjaer his first home win in a 3-1 triumph over Huddersfield Town in the English Premier League.

Following a strong introduction against Cardiff City, the reign of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer met its home faithful for the first time this season.

It wasn’t a bright start though for the hosts, as the first eye in on goal fell to Town after Isaac Mbenza curled Phillip Billing’s cross wide from 20-yards after three minutes.

Soon, the tables were turned as Jesse Lingard picked up a loose pass before seeing his curled attempt sailing wide on 15 minutes.

The first save from the opposing goalkeeper came after 25 minutes from Paul Pogba’s stinging shot following a pass from Marcus Rashford.

Serbian Nemanja Matic soon edged the hosts in front after tapping in at the back-post following an assist from Rashford on 29 minutes.

United were now having the game on their lap, and if it wasn’t for sterling goalkeeping from Jonas Lossl, could’ve gone further in front.

A big opportunity fell in the path of the 20-time English champions, as a good piece of skill from Rashford down the right ended in a cross for Diogo Dalot, but his effort was sent wide.
