Spain edge Bosnia in friendly

Spain were made to work for a 1-0 win over Bosnia-Herzegovina in an international friendly on Sunday evening.

La Roja were hoping to return to winning ways after suffering a 3-2 loss to Croatia on Thursday evening in the UEFA Nations League.

England’s 2-1 win over Croatia meant Spain finished as runners-up in the group.

Luis Enrique made a number of changes for Sunday’s clash, with Mario Hermoso being handed a debut while Isco was handed the captain’s armband.

The changes seemed to have had an effect on the Spaniard’s as they struggled to break down the Bosnians in the opening.

The game’s only goal eventually arrived in the 78th minute, with another debutant Brais Méndez slotting home from close range.
