Tau glad to have youngsters on board

Bafana Bafana attacker Percy Tau believes was pleased to see some ‘youngsters’ in the side following their 1-1 draw against Paraguay.

Teboho Mokoena and Lebogang Mothiba both started the game against the South Americans at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.

Tau has been standout player in recent matches for Bafana, bagging an assist against Nigeria and a goal against in the Nelson Mandela Challenge on Tuesday evening.

“It was a difficult game, we conceded early but got back strong. We were trying to get the tactics right and the movement. And we got the last goal in the last minute which is good,” Tau told SuperSport TV.

“We didn’t know much about them but they were very physical and moving the ball fast which is a good preparation for Libya. But then we gave everything and got a draw.

“It’s good that we have youngsters in the team. So they will always help us with energy and it’s also a good experience for them.”

He further added that he hopes they keep the momentum for next year in their last qualifier match against Libya.
