UNL Wrap: Dutch advance to finals

Netherlands staged an impressive comeback to secure their spot in the UEFA Nations League finals on Monday evening.

The hosts got off to a perfect start when Timo Werner opened the scoring early on with a superb volley before Leroy Sane doubled the advantage with a deflected effort.

The Dutch were still trailing by two goals with five minutes remaining, before Quincy Promes pulled one back with a superb curling effort.

The visitors then secured the equaliser in the 90th minute, with captain Virgil van Dijk volleying home from close range.

As a result, Ronaldo Koeman’s men clinch top spot in the group ahead of France, who finish second while Germany were already relegated before the encounter.
