There’s been a venue change for Mamelodi Sundowns’ CAF Champions League second leg quarterfinal against Egyptian giants Al Ahly.
The first leg will be played at Lucas Moripe Stadium on Saturday (15h00) and the second leg next weekend, which was due to be played at Borg El Arab Stadium in Alexandria, will now be played at Suez Stadium in Suez.
CAF had already demanded from the Egyptian FA to not allow Al Ahly or Zamalek to use the Borg El Arab stadium during their Champions League and Confederations Cup games.
The Suez Stadium seats 27 000 fans, while Borg El Arab Stadium can take 86 000 supporters.
Ahly, meanwhile, are due to arrive in South Africa on Thursday for this weekend’s encounter, after playing Ittihad of Alexandria on Tuesday. They won the game 2-0 to warm up for their clash against the Brazilians.
